Reward Offered!

I was reading in Genesis 5 the other day about the family of Adam.  An interesting fact that stood out to me was that all his descendants were listed with the number of years they lived and the number of children they had.  The descriptions for all of them had the exact same format and order.  But, when you come to Enoch in verse 22, it is different.  I knew about Enoch because of His special relationship with God, but I have never seen it written about him in this specific way.  The Bible doesn't only say how long he lived, but also how long he walked with God: Gen 5:21-23 NKJV -  21 Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. 22 After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. 23 So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.  One of my most favorite topics in the Bible is faith.  I love reading about those who did exploits and received greatly from God because of their faith.  The Bible says in Heb 11:6

Is Your Promise on Life Support?

There are many wonderful stories in the Bible where God gave people promises.  There is the one where He promised Abram that he would one day be the father of many nations.  He was 75 at the time God showed him the sands of the sea and the stars in the sky as a comparison of the multitudes he would one day be the father of.  Turns out he had to wait for more than 25 years to see this come to pass.  But you know what, Abram believed God and this blessed and pleased God.  God loves faith and it pleases Him if we just believe what He said.   There are many more similar Bible stories, and it is easy for us to read them and wonder why these people ever doubted.  It is easy to think that way if you can read the end of each story and see that God was indeed true to His Word.  We have to remember that Abram at the time didn't have a Bible.  He barely knew God.  His own family worshiped the moon and the stars.  He couldn’t read about Joseph who went from the pit to the prison to the palace

Eternal Life and Finding Teddy

I want to ask a simple question today.  Do you believe the Word of God?  Does it impact your life to the point where you live by it and allow it to change you? I am sure you can relate that we come in contact with people - negative, depressed, hurting people - and when you remind them of some of the great promises in God’s Word for them and their situation, they would say.. "Yes I know the Word says that, but…"  All this means is they know it is written in the Word somewhere, but they don’t have confidence in the truth of it or believe it enough to let it impact and change their situations - or even give them hope. Prov 30:5 AMPC - Every word of God is tried and purified; He is a shield to those who trust and take refuge in Him. One of the greatest joys of my life right now is that I can have a relationship with Abba Father, with Jesus and with the Holy Spirit.  Do you know that the Bible calls this eternal life?  Yes, you read right.  Eternal life doesn’t only start the d
